AdapTour is a free climate risk assessment tool developed by Ramboll for the tourism industry, at the level of operators and territories.
Ramboll's AdapTour tool incorporates the latest TRACC data (in line with the French reference warming trajectory for adaptation to climate change) and climate scenarios to assess climate risks and the vulnerability of public and private stakeholders of the tourism economy. Faced with the impacts of climate change, AdapTour enables its users to assess the risks to their value chain and tourism activities, measure their vulnerabilities and adaptive capacities, and identify the main climate issues, in order to start developing adaptation strategy and an action plan.
Why did we develop AdapTour?
Our team of experts in adaptation and climate mitigation has in-depth knowledge of the tourism sector.
Implementing an adaptation strategy in tourism means taking into account almost twenty hazards, being able to understand the foreseeable changes in these hazards and assessing their impact for different sectors in the same territory, or different components in a company's value chain.
Working with the tourism industry, we realised the need for a tool that would provide instant access to complex, simplified climate data and give our customers clear information to understand their risks and improve their resilience to climate change by increasing their ability to anticipate and plan strategy.
